When The waves of Life Come crashing In….

Many times, in life we learn to live with the ebb and flow of the changing tides. The waves can get a little bumpy but what do we do when the storm clouds come sneaking in? Often in my life I look back and realize how important bible scripture has prepared me in those uncertain and difficult phases of life, the life of many trials. But I know if it were not for these trials, I experienced I would not know God as intimately.   Be Still and know that I am God, Psalm 46:10.   Yes, Be still and listen to his whispers of calmness, and peace that only he can give us in those adverse times of life.

However painful it can get, the waves crashing into us, we know we can withstand whatever comes our way…. we must have our feet on solid ground. Christ, Jesus is the solid rock upon which to stand!  All other ground is sinking sand…

Many years ago, I was faced with so much uncertainty. I struggled not only with my Identity but battling Satan coming at me through lies of whom he said I was, through my very own family. You know those family members who feel more like sandpaper in your life, the  ones who rub you the wrong way.

We must remember that Satin come to steal, kill and destroy. John 10:10   Yes, this is not just figuratively speaking this is literally…How many lives have we seen destroyed through bad decisions, addictions, ect.?   He comes to us at our weakest moment ready to take us out.

I’m so saddened today to see the alarming increasing rate of suicide, especially with our youth, teens…It is heartbreaking for me. Why? Because I was there, I was at that breaking point many years ago with my very own life and uncertainty…uncertainty of why was life so hard? Why did I seem to face so many struggles in my own life and everyone else’s lives looked so easy… I was sick and tired of being sick and tired.

And today teens face so much more in this age and time than I can say our generation ever had to face…But please let me tell you the one thing I know is God can get you through it, whatever it is you are facing. There is nothing too big or too difficult but more importantly his Love for you is how deep and how wide? Ephesians 3:18    You see he created you for a purpose and when the enemy can get you to the point you question your very own purpose and he convinces you it easier just to tag out , that’s the very moment you need to know God has something so amazing for you in your future, something so beautiful as Blessings just for you.

Why do I know and understand this? Because I was a young adult who wanted to tag out, I found myself in a huge raging storm surrounding me, the enemy was after me.  I have not shared this part of my story with many, it is a part of my life I had chosen to forget about. Yet, one day when telling a confidant, they reminded me how much it could help others. You see we all have our breaking points, and something about me is I hate to admit my weaknesses. But I was at my weakest point in life as I walked out to a Jetty and stood at the very end…wanting to jump. The pain of life was too unbearable in that moment and the enemy was saying do it! Jump!!! Now!! Life is hard and your life will always be painful… I wanted to do it but at the same time I was calmed by another voice of reason… you see God says we cannot be snatched   out of his hands. John 10:28   I give them eternal life, and they shall never parish, no one will snatch them out of my hand.

Today I write these things to reassure those of you struggling, and to confirm to you yes, life is hard, life gets messy but the one thing I know is DON’T DO LIFE WITHOUT CHRIST!

Today I am so glad I didn’t listen to the enemies lies   and I chose to listen to God and learn to trust him in my life… I would say, “I don’t like what I am seeing and it doesn’t make sense but I have to believe you know better than me. You see that is FAITH and let me tell you I have seen God make the impossible possible in my life…He is a Good God and at the right time after many trials he will set you on solid ground just like he has done for me… Peter 5:10  “ So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you and he will place you on a firm foundation.

So you see today, God has set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walk along. He has given me a new song to sing, A beautiful life. all honor and glory to him.  My ministry on Identity he has given to me, through all my pains and struggles… Look closely at the word IDENTITY.  I DISCOVER EVEN NOW THAT I AM TRULY YOURS … You are his child now and forever.  Psalm 139. We have to walk through our Pain to find our purpose in this life, and when we do we will be able to help others  who are enduring the same pain we had.
